Cede X Enjin: Combat farming meets Blockchain

Following the incredible success of amazing kickstarter campaign, we are excited to announce that BareHand has officially become apart of the Enjin’s Multiverse program!

What does this mean? It means that players will be able to grow items in game which will have real world currency inside of them. These items can be sold to other players around the world. Let’s go into more detail of how this will work.

We started developing Cede in 2015 and we’re now in the early stages of pre-alpha. Our initial release of Cede will consist of a 4 player co-operative story campaign that captures the experience of an Action-RPG modernized by strategic combat farming. The player(s) will enter biomes within different regions of the world, fighting to fill these desolate and imbalanced biomes with plant life we call “changers”.

Through this PvE experience, defeating opposing lifeforms will burst them into seeds and become a changer like the example you see above. These changers will benefit your faction, providing stat buffs, defensive attacking turrets, and other benefits. How do we determine what changer lifeforms will transform into?

You will obtain seeds like this one either by playing the game or purchasing them with real world currencies through websites and/or on our in-game store. Each tier will have a category of changers you can grow in combat. Once obtaining the seed, it will reveal which changer you can grow with it.

You can also plant this seed at your farm hub and, with the right farming techniques, you can harvest a crop with the best stat results or even produce unique color breeds for your changers. You can then sell these crops to other players who can equip them in their loadouts and grow the changers you have cultivated for them in combat.

This is where your farm hub will shine the most because you will strategize your own unique farming methods to produce changers with the best stats and aesthetic. You could be one of the few people in the world to have grown a purple tree with a stat increase of +10 attack power. You can keep these items for you and your team or sell them to players looking for a rare breed of changer carefully grown by you!

While Cede’s initial release will consist of a 4 player co-operative Action-RPG experience, we aim to release a PvP mode following the story campaign. This is totally dependent on the success of the story campaign experience and you will be able to use your items in both modes. Right now you can purchase our starting set of items online on our website, the enjin marketplace, and opensea. You can also purchase our limited founders token, which will grant various in-game rewards to our day one supporters. These starting items will not have a transfer fee from us for a limited time and through purchasing now you will be granted rare items to grow your own unique crops! This is super powerful because instead of sucking all of your money through cringy microtransactions we let you sell your own items through our decentralized farming ecosystem.
